Terms of service
This English version is a reference translation. The Japanese text is binding, and where the two differ the Japanese governs.

These Terms govern your use of Kamakiri Pages and of this site (together, the service). You accept them when you create an account, at the prompt in kamakiri login.
Who we are
The service is provided under the brand Kamakiri Labs by タバリ・コンサルティング, a sole proprietorship in Kyoto, Japan. Write to contact@kamakiri-labs.jp about anything in these Terms, or to ask for our postal address.
The beta
Kamakiri Pages is in beta. It is free, by invitation, and subject to the limits on the beta page.
A beta is unfinished, and ours is no exception: expect faults, outages and lost data. Keep your own copy of everything you deploy. We do not promise to back it up, or to restore it if it is lost.
The service may change or end at any time; where we can, we tell you by email first. Paid plans will come under terms published at that time.
Your account
You need to be able to enter into a contract, and a minor needs a legal guardian’s consent. Your email address is your account. Keep your API keys secret, and tell us straight away if one leaks: until you do, you are responsible for what is done with your account and its keys.
If you give us credentials for an account of yours elsewhere, as turning on the WebAccel CDN requires, we use them only to manage what the service creates there, and what is created there is yours, including what it costs.
You can stop using the service at any time, and we close your account when you write to us.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in what you deploy, and you must have the right to publish it. You give us the licence we need to store, copy and serve it while we host it. What you deploy is public: it is served to anyone who asks for it.
What you may not do
You may not use the service for anything unlawful under Japanese law, to attack anyone, or to abuse the service or get around its limits. Nor may you publish or distribute anything that:
- infringes another person’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- is or carries malware;
- is phishing or any other fraud;
- sexually exploits minors;
- harasses, threatens or defames anyone.
Enforcement
We may take a site offline, or suspend or close an account, immediately and without notice, whenever we judge that it breaks these Terms or the law, or that doing so is necessary to protect the service, its users or anyone else. We usually tell you afterwards, at your account email address. We have no obligation to review what you deploy.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is, with no uptime commitment and no warranty of any kind. We are not liable for lost data, for the service being unavailable or suspended, or for indirect damage such as lost profit.
This does not limit our liability for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. Where the law gives you rights as a consumer that no contract can remove, those rights still apply.
Changes to these Terms
When these Terms change, we announce the new Terms and the date they take effect by email to account holders and on the news page, before that date. Using the service after that date is acceptance of them.
Law and jurisdiction
Japanese law governs these Terms, and the Kyoto District Court has exclusive jurisdiction of the first instance over any dispute about them or the service. The Japanese text is binding: the English page is a reference translation, and where the two differ the Japanese governs.
